Our Worm Farm

On-farm worm farm turning waste into living fertiliser

Down on Bonavista, a hard-working team of worms quietly does some of the most important work on the farm. Our worm farm turns farm and food waste into rich worm castings — a living, natural fertiliser we put straight back onto our pastures.

Why it matters

Healthy soil is the foundation of everything we grow. Worm castings feed the soil biology, hold moisture and help our grass come back greener and stronger — which means better feed for our cattle and sheep, and pastures that get more resilient every season.

Part of the cycle

The worms work alongside our pastured hens, which follow the cattle around the farm spreading and fertilising as they go. It's a closed, regenerative loop: animals, pasture and soil all improving together. (Our worm castings are used on-farm for our own regenerative farming — they're not sold.)
