Lamb Mince Kofta (or Rissoles)
Lamb mince is one of the most versatile things in the freezer, and this recipe gives you two ways to use it — spiced kofta or classic rissoles. Made with grass-fed Hunter Natural lamb mince, both are quick, family-friendly and packed with flavour. Our Dorper lamb mince is lean and clean-tasting, so it takes herbs and spices beautifully. Cook them on the grill or in the pan and serve with flatbread, salad or mash.
Cut: Lamb Mince
Kofta
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Cumin, coriander, paprika, cinnamon
- Fresh mint and parsley
- Salt, pepper
Form into skewers, grill until charred. Serve with yoghurt sauce.
Rissoles
- 500g lamb mince
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- Worcestershire sauce
- Salt, pepper, herbs
Form into patties, pan-fry until golden. Serve with mash and gravy.
